Our Programs
Our experienced teachers are dedicated to providing your child with individualized attention, ensuring that they receive the education and support they need to succeed. We currently have 4 amazing classrooms with small teacher-to-student ratios that enable us to provide a personalized learning experience for each child.
Infants-Non Walkers
Our Infant Program provides a warm, nurturing environment tailored to meet the unique needs of each baby. With a low teacher-to-infant ratio, our caregivers offer personalized attention, ensuring that each child feels secure and supported. Through sensory exploration, tummy time, music, and gentle interactions, we foster early learning experiences that promote cognitive, motor, and social development.
Toddlers- 1s/2s
Our Toddler Program is designed for active little learners, our program encourages exploration, language development, and social growth in a nurturing environment. Through interactive activities, music, movement, and age-appropriate lessons, toddlers develop early communication skills, fine and gross motor abilities, and problem-solving techniques. With a focus on building routines, self-help skills, and positive interactions, we create a strong foundation for future learning while ensuring each child feels supported and valued every step of the way.
Preschool- 3s/4s
Our Preschool Program offers a personalized curriculum designed to create an engaging and enriching learning experience for every child.
Through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and guided play, we prepare children with essential kindergarten-ready skills. Our program focuses on early literacy and math, including handwriting practice, letter and sound recognition, sight words, and counting to at least 50.
We foster a love for learning while building confidence, independence, and social skills in a nurturing environment. With a balance of structured learning and creative exploration, we ensure each child is well-prepared for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Welcome to Home Away from Home Preschool! Founded by Owner and Director Shada Powell in 2020. We pride ourselves on delivering a warm, nurturing and educational environment which allows children to thrive in all aspects of their development. Our programs keep children engaged and learning, while providing a safe and welcoming environment that feels like home. We strive to provide your child with the best quality education and care, while ensuring that their time with us is filled with plenty of fun, laughter, and lifelong memories.
